Tyler Blik | BLIK & Charles Reilly, Marketing Strategist

Successful Marketing in Leaner Times

Saturday, September 27th | 12:45 - 2:15 pm

Tom Peters, the management guru from Stanford, used to preach: “Treat the customer as an appreciating asset.” But ask most people for a one-shot marketing definition and nearly all say it’s about “finding new customers.” They’re important, but in lean times, it’s often quicker, easier and more profitable to gain new business from existing clients. Charles Reilly and Tyler Blik are frequent collaborators working with professional services firms: architects, engineers, law firms and health care entities. Reilly, a copywriter and marketing strategist, and Blik, an award-winning graphic designer, will review ways to adjust internally to make the most of shrinking opportunities. They will range from systematic ways to gain new work from current clients, to ways to make sure that RFPs and RFQs go out quickly – and with far more marketing sizzle.

Both approaches mean putting your best foot forward – so you won’t end up tripping over your most important appreciating assets.
